Catholics respect the sacredness of human life from conception through to natural death. The taking of human lives in an attempt to make our own better is a sad blotch on our society. The elderly, the sick, the handicapped and the unborn child are easy and very often, helpless targets of the death culture, the selfish culture. Catholics are duty bound to defend the weak and the helpless. The unborn child is especially vulnerable. The unborn child has committed no crime and has no voice to ask for mercy. We must be her voice and defender. Abortion is our greatest social injustice. |
